The History of ITS
ITS was established on November 10, 1957, as the Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITK). Originally, ITK only had two faculties: Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. In 1999, ITK was renamed Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) to honor the 10th of November, the date on which the Indonesian army declared independence from Dutch colonial rule in 1945.
